Jeremy Edwards Tutor 2017
2015-16 has seen Jeremy step out of much of the live work with Dust Radio as he has found himself tied to the studio producing and playing for other artists.
He cut songs and played live shows with 'The Voice' winner Karise Eden, played on and co-produced albums for singer-songwriters Cyndi Boste and Toni Swain, played a string of dates with Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson tributes and toured The Stevie Show - The life and times of Stevie Wright and The Easybeats. His band waits patiently..he hopes!
2015-16 sees the kick off of a whole bunch of solo shows in prep for a new album and the launch of Pearl- The Janis Joplin Story in which Jeremy will be musical director/guitarist. A great project produced by Chris Keeble and featuring Liza Ohlback and Rick Melick..
Dust Radio..
A word from Martin Jones, music editor with Australia’s leading roots magazine Rhythms - “Jeremy Edwards and the Dust Radio Band play soulful, country rock that few bands in this country are capable of”.
Jeremy Edwards and the Dust Radio Band are an original, five-piece outfit steeped in roots, blues and country who weave their way through the rich tapestry that Edwards creates in songs with a truly ‘timeless’ feel. Edwards pulls inspiration from songwriters deep within the Americana songbook such as Steve Earle, Neil Young, Buddy Miller, Sheryl Crow and Lucinda Williams.
Dust Radio, live and in the studio, are a formidable band boasting members ex and current of Don Walker, Red Rivers, Steve Prestwich and others. Over his career Jeremy has toured with American blues greats John Hammond Jnr and Charlie Musselwhite and shared stage with Jeff Lang, Diesel, The Drones, Matt Walker, Kevin Bennett and many others. His track ‘Send me home’ will be featured on ABC TV‘s ‘Two on the great divide’ with John Doyle and Tim Flannery this year and on Joe Hildbrand's hit show 'Welcome to Shitsville'. His writing attracted the attention of legendary country producer Garth Porter who chose Jeremy and his album Wires for the Garth Porter Producer Award at the 2006 Musicoz Awards held at the Enmore Theatre. ABC’s Oztrax also chose Jeremy as feature artist with Wires’ opening song ‘My old man’.
